I have learned the art of getting ready in 20 minutes each morning before taking my son to school. :) It used to take me at least an hour to get ready.

How many cousins do you have, and are you close to them?
I have 28 first cousins (the photo on the left is a project I made for my aunt) on my mother's side alone. I'm close to most of them. I want to have a chance to be closer to my younger cousins. I rarely see them because they live in the States.

I have more or less 12 cousins on my father's side. There are some cousins born in the States who I haven't met yet.

Just this morning when I saw Henny and Chickee (Growing Pets) bigger than they were yesterday. They were just eggs a few days ago and they are growing up fast.

If you were a Beanie Baby, what would you look like and what would your name be?
I'd like to be a pink Beanie Baby elephant with a small heart locket where my owner can put her picture so she'll always be close to my heart. I'd like to be called Ella.

Name two things you consistently do that you consider to be healthy habits. Lately I recently started attending morning Tae Bo workout at the gym from Monday - Friday after taking my son to school. It has been a constant routine for three weeks now. I also love eating fresh fruits.

Most likely a 2, I don't like the idea of getting another year older.
Let me change my answer to a 5. I love having a special get together with family and friends but I don't like the aspect of getting older. Ha ha!

How are you today?
I feel great. It's been a while since I joined FF and it's wonderful to take part in it again. I also had a nice workout at the gym and I got a blogging award from my blog friend Darlene (more detailed post to follow).

I don't watch television that much lately but I love the following TV series: Smallville, Grey's Anatomy and Prison Break.

What’s the scariest weather situation you’ve experienced?
A few years ago, we had a super typhoon named Milenyo. There was a flash flood which tore down the wall of the village directly in front of us. It was a blessing in disguise because the flood was channeled to the creek and did not cause damage to our house.

If you could wake up tomorrow morning in another country, where would you want to be?
I'd love to wake up in the U.S. particularly in N.Y. so I could spend time with my parents and my brother, whom I miss very much.

What do you usually wear to sleep?
I usually wear t-shirt and shorts. When it's cold, I like wearing PJs.

I wouldn't want to own a gun. Although many say that it is essential to have one at home for emergency cases, I still do not approve of the idea.

I have short, straight and thick black hair.

Finish this sentence: I’ll never forget the day I got hospitalized because of spotting (when I was pregnant). My world seemed to stop because of fear that my baby was in danger but I thank God for protecting my baby from harm.

Which famous person would you like to be for one day? Why? I'd love to be Angel Aquino (local model and actress) even for one day. I admire her beauty and talent. She is also a dedicated mother.

Hmm ... I'd give myself a 7 or 8.

Name three of your best teachers from your school years.
Ms. S - My teacher in kindergarden. She always helped me open my water jug every recess time. Simple gesture of kindness that I will never forget.
Ms. P - My teacher in grade 4. She was so pretty that she inspired me to act more lady like.
Mr. R - My professor in one of my marketing subjects in college. He believed in me more than I ever did. He always praised me in class and he even made one of my marketing papers as an example in his other classes.

What are your plans for this upcoming weekend?
Nothing definite yet but looking forward to a nice weekend with my family.

During the first few weeks after giving birth to my son. It was a great adjustment period for me considering that he's my first baby.

What is your usual bedtime? Do you like that, or would you rather it be different?
I usually sleep past 1 a.m. It would be nice to have an earlier sleeping time, say 10:30 p.m. I usually have more time to blog at night when my son is sleeping so I tend to sleep late.

When it comes to advice, do you give more or receive more?
I think I give more advice than receive. I give advice to family and friends who seek some guidance and help. But I'm more often there to lend them an ear. I learned that sometimes listening alone means so much to a person. I'm careful about giving unsolicited advices because I don't want people to think that I'm sticking my nose in their personal business.

Describe a memorable meal you've had.
On our recent beach trip, my husband grilled some fresh fish, squid and pork. We had some grilled eggplant as well and some salted eggs (which I recently featured for my photo hunt). We were able to buy freshly caught squid from the fisherman we encountered at the beach. It was a simple meal but it was so memorable because of our beautiful surroundings.

Name a work of fiction that affected the way you think about something.

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

This line is from the Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I'm sure many of you are familiar with this book. I love the story and how the author reminds us of the simple truths that we seem to forget as we grow older.

I love fresh mango juice. I prefer ripe mangoes but occasionally I order green mango shake at the restaurant.

I love pink. It makes me feel sweet, young and carefree. It reminds me of everything sweet.

Name something you thought you had lost, but later found.
I thought I lost my wedding ring when I went on vacation with my friends. It somehow slipped off my finger while I was fixing my baggage. I thought I lost it when we were out swimming. I found it the day before our flight back home and we celebrated that night at a nice bar by the beach ... lots of frozen margaritas. :)

What are you obsessed with?
I'm not sure if you can call it an obsession but I love bags. If I win the lottery, the first thing I'll do is go on a bag shopping spree. :)

Where on your body do you have a scar, and what caused it?
A faint letter "C" on my right leg. When I was around 8 years old or so, I didn't realize I was standing very near the car exhaust and got minor burns.

What is something that has happened to you that you would consider a miracle?
I was hit by a jeep when I was in my early teens. People who saw the accident thought I had severe injuries but it was only a minor one. I did not even need casting. My whole leg was bandaged for two weeks. I was fine after that. I did not require any physical therapy of any sort. Just a few follow up check-ups at the doctor.

Name a television personality who really gets on your nerves.
No one in particular.

What was a funny word you said as a child (such as "pasketti" for "spaghetti")?
My mom once saw my grandfather (my father's dad) on his knees looking for something under the sofa. My mom asked what he was looking for and my grandfather said he had no idea but apparently there was something I wanted from under the sofa because I kept saying "Pik Ma Mo. He was thinking there was a toy under the sofa. My mom laughed and said, that it meant "Pikit mo mata mo." (translated: Close your eyes.) Sorry I guess that was more than one word but it's the first thing that came into my mind.

I love my current ring tone which is Julia Fordham's Love Moves in Mysterious Ways.

Describe your usual disposition in meteorological terms (partly cloudy, sunny, stormy, etc.).
I would say sunny with short rainshowers. I feel blessed but like any other normal person, I have my own share of problems, doubts and fears but through the help of my loved ones and constant prayers, I am able to overcome them.

What specific subject do you feel you know better than any other subjects?
This is a tough one. I don't think I can name a specific subject but I would say that I'm always open to learning new ideas. My knowledge about things keep evolving.

Imagine you were given the ability to remember everything you read for one entire day. Which books/magazines/newspapers would you choose to read?
Probably the encyclopedia to cover a wide range of topics.

If a popular candy maker contacted you to create their next confection, what would it be like and what would you name it?
I love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups so I would probably create a better version of it and I would call it Yohan's PBB (short for Peanut Butter Blessings). It would be wonderful to have a chocolate named after my son.

We don't have winter here in the Philippines.

What colors dominate your closet?
I have lots of pastel colors like baby pink, light blue and lavender. I have many red blouses and shirts, mostly gifts from my mom because it's her favorite color and she says that it suits me. I also have lots of classic white and black.

How would you describe your personal "comfort zone"?
My comfort zone is being with close family and friends. It's a place

Probably Amazing Race held in a foreign land. I think it would be fun and challenging to join the race in a different country. It would be a great venue to meet new people and learn about new things about a certain country.

Christmas because it's a time when family and friends get together to enjoy the season of joy and giving. It's a time when people around the world seem a little more caring and thoughtful than usual.

I remember when I was in high school (80s), girls teased their bangs while guys had spiky hair. It was also a time when dresses with shoulder pads were considered cool.

Sometimes people think that I'm a snob. Maybe because I'm generally a shy person and it takes time for me to make friends but when I do, it's usually for keeps.

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how hard do you work?
I'm not good with household chores so I only give myself a 5. The maid takes care of most of the chores but I take care of my son's personal needs. My nanny when I was a child is still with me and she helps me take care of my son, Yohan.

If you were given a free 30-second commercial during the Super Bowl to sell anything you currently own, what would you advertise?
Probably our old car. I love the idea of selling the old one and using the money for downpayment on a new car.

Which television shows do you just refuse to miss?
Lost - It always leaves me hanging so I'm always anxious to watch the next episode. I wonder how it will end. I'm clueless.

Grey's Anatomy - I watched Season 1&2 on DVD but when Season 3 finally airs in the Philippines, I'll make sure that I won't miss a single episode on TV. Unless I get lucky and find a Season 3 DVD.

Who did you last speak to on the telephone?
My husband. He dropped me off at the mall to go shopping while he took my son to school. I bought a few things that I will send to my partner (GrayMama) in relation to Kooky Kay's Monthly Mini Swap. Jules called me before he picked me up at the mall.

4 regular pillows, 1 oversized pillow, 2 "hotdog" pillows

I would love a DVD burner or an LCD monitor.

I love Japanese food. I love California Maki, Kani Salad, Miso Soup, Tonkatsu, Ebi Tempura and Sukiyaki. Oops, I think I was supposed to mention only one. Sorry, I got carried away. :)

Did you ever get in trouble while you were in school? If so, what was it for?
Yes, when I was in 2nd year High School. A friend from the upper batch asked me to hand over a sealed letter to a teacher at the faculty. I didn't know that the letter revealed names of cheaters in class during an exam. If I knew, I would never let myself get involved. It wasn't even my class nor my batch. Those girls whose names were mentioned in the letter cornered me during my PE class and interrogated me about the letter. It was a terrible mess. Good thing, they realized that I was 'used' without my knowledge. I learned a valuable lesson. Never to be so trusting and gullible again.

Which topping(s) make up your perfect pizza?
I love pepperoni and different kinds of cheese toppings.

Do you believe in UFOs/aliens/etc.? Why or why not?
I think it's possible that we're not the only inhabitants in the galaxy. It's too big and we haven't even explored it yet. Maybe there are other intelligent lifeforms out there. I just hope they won't bother or harm us.

Right now, it's blue with yellow stars and white moon design.

Probably Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Suri. I'm sure the press would love to report every tidbit available about this showbiz family.

They say that good things come in small packages? What is something little that you think is great?
I would say Bizu's Macaron de Paris. I love these round pastel-colored pastries because they are sinfully sweet with crushed almonds and luxurious creme ganache flavors that burst in the mouth.

Name a song that makes you want to dance.
The first song that came to mind is Whitney Houston's song, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." There are nicer songs that I like but just couldn't remember right now.

What is your favorite font?
I don't have a favorite font in particular. I like experimenting with different types.

If you were to write a do-it-yourself article, what would it be about?
I would probably write about creative ways of wrapping gifts. I love adding personal touches to presents like personalized tags, felt cut-outs, colorful bows, dried flowers, etc.

How do you usually celebrate on New Year's Eve?
I celebrate it at home with my family. We attend mass then we usually visit my in-laws who live a few minutes away from us. But we always make sure that we are home before midnight. We watch the fireworks display prepared annually by our village officers then we share a feast called Media Noche.

Name one thing unexpected that happened to you in 2006.
I lost 50 pounds. :-) At the start, my goal was to lose 20 pounds but I was happy to lose more than my target weight.

Where was your favorite place that you visited in 2006?

Going to Boracay with my friends. It's one of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines. It's also a favorite tourist spot.

What resolution is your top priority for 2007?
Find a job. I stopped working due to a difficult pregnancy and I never went back to work since then. This year, I plan to revive my career and be productive again. I'd like to put my college degree and MBA to good use.
