My hubby, son and I love good food. We make it a point to eat out at least once a month. I guess you can say that dining out is one of our monthly bonding moments.

We recently had dinner at Buon Giorno! It's a lovely and cozy restaurant in Cliffhouse, Tagaytay that serves Italian cuisine. 

You can dine outside al fresco or you can choose to eat inside.  The interior of the restaurant has a homey feeling to it.

We ordered Buon Giorno's Special (crisp crunch of mixed lettuce greens, cucumber and tomato with feta cheese and dressing).

We also had New York Pizza (assorted meat, bell peppers and cheese topping on a crisp,crusty dough). 

I wasn't able to take a photo of Yohan's order. He had kiddie chicken fingers with curly fries and a tall glass of Mudslide freeze (blend of chocolate shake).

This is Buon Giorno's most reserved place - the Opium Bed.  It has big fluffy pillows and white canopy.  When you reserve this place, you can enjoy the scenic view of Taal as you dine.

My son is looking forward to watching Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Hubby and I promised to take him to the movie theater soon. Yohan was glad to dropped by McDonald's to take advantage of the current Happy Meal featuring characters from the said movie.

Yohan's first three choices are Manny, Diego and Momma Dino. He also recently acquired Sid and Ruby (not included in the photo). He needs three more to complete the set.

What kind of cuisine are you fond of?

I'm fond of Japanese food. My family always make it a point to eat at Japanese restaurants. Last Thursday, hubby and I had lunch at Teriyaki Boy, a casual dining Japanese restaurant. We ordered the following:

California Maki

Ebi Tempura Bento Box (includes miso soup, 3 pcs ebi tempura, rice, bean sprouts, kani salad, coffee jelly and iced tea)

Teriyaki Boy Bento Box (includes miso soup, Teriyaki Boy chicken, rice, bean sprouts, kani salad, coffee jelly and iced tea)

After lunch, we went to New Hatchin Japanese Grocery in Makati to buy some ingredients for hubby's culinary class this coming Sunday. Their theme this Sunday is Japanese cuisine. I personally recommend this Japanese grocery because they carry a wide variety of authentic Japanese products. They also have friendly and very accomodating staff.

I think one great form of advertisement is word of mouth. When my MIL asked if I knew any new restaurant in Tagaytay where she could have lunch with her friends, I told her about Pamana Restaurant. I've heard good things about this restaurant from fellow bloggers which I shared with my MIL. She took my suggestion and had lunch there with her college friends. Below are some photos of the place. The restaurant has a vintage interior.

Share something fun you did with the family recently.

Hubby and I watched Angels and Demons last Monday. We left Yohan at home because the movie wasn't suitable for kids. We promised to make it up to him by watching Night at the Museum 2 on our next visit to the mall.

Last Wednesday, hubby and I fulfilled that promise to Yohan. We had a fun family date at Alabang Town Center. We had some pizza, mojos and chicken for lunch. Yohan ordered a tall glass of Oreo milkshake.



Yohan got a free volleyball from Shakey's as part of their meal promo.


We watched Night at The Museum 2 after lunch. We all enjoyed the film. It was really funny. It's a perfect movie for kids and grown-ups.

I asked Jules and Yohan what do they like better, Night at the Museum 1 or 2. The boys said they like the sequel more than the first one. For me, the first one is still my favorite.




After the movie, we did a little shopping for Yohan. He has grown taller so we decided to buy him a new pair of jeans, 3 colored pants and a blue windbreaker. Here's a photo of our junior shopper. :)

Reunion With Mommy Bloggers Part II

This is Red Mango's signature line. I agree. We should all make it a point to treat ourselves well. Life is something we should be grateful for. Let's enjoy it as much as we can. Rejoice and live well!

It's real frozen yogurt goodness! It's naturally delicious and healthy too. I think it's a fun dessert because you can combine the yogurt (original or green tea) with exciting toppings.

I love the topping selection: mango, blackberry, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, banana, pineapple, coconut, cocoa pebbles, fruity pebbles, almonds, granola, graham crackers, cranberries, dark chocolate, M&Ms and much more.

I chose blueberry and almonds for my toppings.

They have delicious waffles too. I like the heart shapes.

You know what's better than yummy food? Good friends of course. :) I had the privilege to join my mommy blogger friends in another fun get together; this time at Trinoma.

A Nice Reunion With Mommy Bloggers

Last Year (March 2008)

Last March 1, 2008, I met Raq and her beautiful family for the first time while they were on vacation in the Philippines. We had dinner at Burgoo (Podium) with other mommy bloggers.

This Year (April 2009)

Raq is back in the country and last Tuesday evening was a perfect opportunity for a nice reunion with other mommy bloggers. The get together was held in the very same place as last year. It was a fun and memorable evening with friends. We missed some of the people from last year but it's nice to meet new friends. I'm very happy to meet Annamanila in person. It was also a pleasure to meet Aileen for the first time.

After dinner I joined some of the mommy bloggers for a round of coffee and pastries. I enjoyed the chit chat and the laughter. I don't get to join them as often as I want but I always appreciate the moments I share with them.
