Video of Yohan's Christmas Dance

I earlier shared photos of Yohan's costume including steps on how to make a top hat and some shots taken during the Christmas school presentation.

Now I would like to share a short video clip of that Christmas dance. He is the one dancing in the middle wearing top hat, turquoise belt and turquoise bow tie. The name of his partner is Princess.

In the last dance, the turquoise accents of Yohan's costume were replaced with red bow tie, red beaded belt with silver heart and a heart accent for the top hat. In the finale, the Toddler class joined the Nursery students.

What are some of your new year’s good luck traditions?

• We usually have 12-13 fruits on the table, particularly round fruits to symbolize prosperity.
• We also make loud noises at 12 midnight (New Year's Eve) to drive away bad luck and evil spirits.
• We put coins in our pockets and jingle them at midnight.
• We enjoy medya noche, a traditional family dinner on New Year's Eve.

Thank you again to everyone who prayed for my son. His fever came back the morning of January 1, 2008. Perhaps, he got a little excited on New Year's Eve which brought back the fever. I was sad that on the first day of the year Yohan was sick. We brought him to his pediatrician yesterday and he is better again today. He really needs to rest. School starts next week and I hope that he will be completely well by then.
