10 Years Together

I remember waking up on this day exactly 10 years ago. It was raining hard and the wind was blowing hard. Two typhoons decided to hit the country that day. That couldn't dampen my spirit. Instead I looked upon it as a symbol of twin blessings.

My family loves eating in Japanese restaurants. Yohan loves the challenge of using chopsticks.

Little Groom

These photos were taken just before the weekend. We attended the wedding of my husband's cousin and girlfriend. Our son was part of the entourage. He was assigned the role of 'Little Groom'. In previous weddings we attended, Yohan was asked to be a Ring Bearer and Bible Bearer. This is the first time he was asked to be a Little Groom. Actually, it's the first time I encountered this role in the wedding. He was simply asked to walk on the aisle just before the groom. There was also a Little Bride. She wore a mini wedding dress. Sadly I wasn't able to take a picture of the Little Groom and Little Bride together. Below are some photos taken during that special occasion.

reception. They were given coloring books and crayons.

Yohan enjoyed the 3 fondue flavors -
chocolate, vanilla and strawberry.

The bride and the groom both love badminton thus
the badminton shuttlecocks as cake topper.
They also gave away badminton keychains
as one of their wedding souvenirs.

Here are some photos taken yesterday, Jan. 19, 2008 during the wedding of Norman and Chona (my SIL). The wedding was at St. Thomas Church in Sto. Tomas, Batangas. The reception was held at the clubhouse of Ayala Greenfields.

It was a lovely wedding. The weather wasn't cooperative but the rain didn't cause any problem. Some say that rain during a wedding is a symbol of blessing from above.

I was so happy because Yohan fulfilled his part well as the ring bearer. He walked on the church's aisle, with confidence and a smile. He wasn't shy and reluctant like the last time (at the wedding of Jules' cousin). At the reception, the entourage was once again presented to the guests and Yohan gladly walked with the rest without hesitation. The family was very proud of him.

Union of Love and Friendship

Last Saturday, I attended the wedding of my friend and former colleague at Caleruega Chapel located at Nasugbu, Batangas. It was a beautiful wedding set in a romantic place. I love the beautiful landscape and serenity of the environment. A lovely setting for a union of love and friendship.

It was nice to see old friends and former office colleagues.

The wedding reception was held at Nurture Spa in Tagaytay. It was a garden wedding. The lovely lights illuminated the evening spreading the romance in the air. The rain poured towards the end of the wedding program but it did not dampen the joy of the couple and their guests. It was a memorable evening.
