Puppy Moment

I love this photo. It captures my son's thrilled expression as he plays with Jack, my BIL's Pomeranian puppy. For me, it's another priceless moment. Jack is a small bundle of joy and energy. Yohan was more than happy to play with Jack that day.

Usefulness of GPS

Technology has improved the lives of people around the world. The development of new technology adds quality to every day life. It is easy to say that technology is synonymous to progress. It opens a lot of doors for improvement and success. Technology has become an inevitable part of people's lives.

Almost everywhere you look, you can find proof of evolving technology. Take for example the modern vehicles. Many new vehicles today are equipped with the latest technology to make driving easier, safer and more convenient. The GPS Tracking is one proof of advanced technology. It is an amazing device that can provide very helpful data such as speed, address of stops, duration of stops, time en route, arrival addresses and direction of vehicle. All these important information are accurately recorded in the device within a specific interval. The data can easily be downloaded using USB port to a personal computer that uses LAS Past-Track software package. The software comes free upon purchase of the GPS. You can choose between passive and real-time GPS depending on the extent of your purpose and budget. It is a great safety measure for vehicles. It is a very useful device that is worth investing on.

Enchanting Mornings

I finally saw the bird that sings on the tree in front of our house every morning. I only hear it sing in the early hours of the morning. I love waking up and hearing it sing a soft and almost enchanting song. I have always wondered what the bird looks like. The other day I caught a glimpse of it. It is a small black bird with white markings. I have no idea what kind of bird it is but I appreciate how it positively starts my mornings.

Halloween Quest

It's already the first week of October. Just a few more weeks and it's Halloween. It is one of the much anticipated occasions that we look forward to as a family. My son is already excited about this year's Halloween celebration. He wants to be a ninja this year. I just hope I can find a ninja costume for him. Last year he was Thomas the Tank Engine.

My family enjoys decorating our home during Halloween. It's a perfect opportunity to bond with one another. Halloween decorations need not be expensive. In fact, we were able to save money last year by making use of cheap materials and some things we already had in the house. We bought cheap Halloween masks and made use of garbage bags for the body to create a scary Halloween character.

We also made pumpkin candle holders using empty 1-gallon water containers. We simply wrapped the exterior with orange Japanese paper and added black paper cutouts to represent the eyes and mouth. We added a candle inside for the final touch. The kids who went around the village to collect treats appreciated the simple decorations we made.

Do you have an interesting photo, story or video you want to share? There's a fun site where you can share your memorable Halloween stories, images and videos. Check out Jack's Quest to find the best Halloween adventures. I gave it a try. I have entered my simple Halloween story above. Below is my vote button as proof of entry.

My Grandma's 40th Day

Thank you to everyone who left kind words of sympathy on my grandmother's death.

Yesterday was my grandma's 40th day since her passing. May God bestow my grandmother eternal joy in Heaven.

Trick Or Treat Me On Twitter

As a mother, I value the importance of nutrition. I believe that good nutrition should start early. Teaching kids about the significance of good nutrition will help reinforce lifelong eating healthy eating habits.

Now that Halloween is just around the corner, kids are more exposed to sweets and junk food. Although Halloween is a fun activity, some parents worry about their children's health during this time. Eating too many candies and junk food can have its negative effect on children. It is best to monitor your child during Trick or Treat. It's great to see children having a wonderful time but good nutrition should be compromised.

I encountered an online campaign that stresses good nutrition for children even during Halloween. Trick Or Treat Me blog opens the eyes of parents about the importance of good nutrition at all times. Parents will be delighted to know that they can still maintain healthy living and at the same time have fun on Halloween.

An example of a nice and healthy treat for kids this Halloween is milk in shelf stable Tetra Pak carton. Kids will appreciate a yummy drink on-the-go and parents will be assured that kids will have more calcium in their diet. It's like hitting two birds with one stone. It's definitely a win-win situation. In line with this is the new “milk box” campaign. Trusted brands like Hershey’s and Organic Valley encourages you to spread the word about milk in single serve, shelf stable cartons through social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

Enjoy sending a Halloween tweet to someone. Take note that when you Trick Or Treat Me on Twitter, you are also making a 10¢ donation to World Wildlife Fund. You can choose whether to “trick” or “treat” your friends on Twitter. I just sent a couple of treat tweets to my friends. Go ahead and give it a try too.

The Big Fat Duck Cookbook

I have heard raves about the popular international restaurant called The Fat Duck. It is run by chef Heston Blumenthal. The restaurant's popularity is attributed to its unique menu. The restaurant's famous dishes are snail porridge and bacon-and-egg ice cream. The restaurant offer unusual dishes that trigger the curiosity of many diners. I find it amazing how chef Heston Blumenthal use the advantages of chemistry, physics and psychology to capture the attention of diners in his restaurant. His ingenuity and creativity in experimenting with dishes made him highly claimed around the world. His restaurant's success has been evident.

A book called the big fat duck cookbook is out in the market. It's a huge book with a sophisticated cover. The book uncovers the story of chef Heston Blumenthal and The Fat Duck's rise to fame. People are fascinated by chef Heston Blumenthal's undeniable success in the food business. It's incredible that he is entirely self taught. The Fat Duck has been said to have broken every rule in the world of restaurants but despite that, it has been voted twice as Best Restaurant in the World by acclaimed top chefs.
