Here are 7 red things I have at home:

1. Planner - It's where I keep contact info of family and friends (including birthdays).
2. Shoulder bag - My mom gave this to me a few years ago as a birthday present.
3. Shoes - I love this pair. It's very comfortable and ideal for walking.
4. Babushka dolls - I saw this at the mall and made a hint to hubby that I like it. He didn't mind buying it for me.
5. Christmas stockings - I hang our personalized Christmas stockings every Christmas and Santa fills them to the brim. :)
6. Vanity kit - Perfect container for my face powder, lipstick, lip gloss, comb, small cologne and hand sanitizer.
7. Baby spoon - This is very special to me because it was my son's spoon when he was a baby. It brings back happy memories.

My thoughtful mom sent me a text message and said that this is on sale. She wants to buy it for me. Perfect timing because I want a new pair of sneakers.

I made the mistake of asking my 6-year old son if this suits me. He told me that it's for teenagers. Ouch! Shot to the heart! Ha! Ha! Oh well, I'm still young at heart.

Share something fun you did with the family recently.

Hubby and I watched Angels and Demons last Monday. We left Yohan at home because the movie wasn't suitable for kids. We promised to make it up to him by watching Night at the Museum 2 on our next visit to the mall.

Last Wednesday, hubby and I fulfilled that promise to Yohan. We had a fun family date at Alabang Town Center. We had some pizza, mojos and chicken for lunch. Yohan ordered a tall glass of Oreo milkshake.



Yohan got a free volleyball from Shakey's as part of their meal promo.


We watched Night at The Museum 2 after lunch. We all enjoyed the film. It was really funny. It's a perfect movie for kids and grown-ups.

I asked Jules and Yohan what do they like better, Night at the Museum 1 or 2. The boys said they like the sequel more than the first one. For me, the first one is still my favorite.




After the movie, we did a little shopping for Yohan. He has grown taller so we decided to buy him a new pair of jeans, 3 colored pants and a blue windbreaker. Here's a photo of our junior shopper. :)

What kind of jewelry or accessories do you wear frequently?

These are my favorite pieces (a watch, white gold earrings and white gold necklace with a cross pendant). I frequently wear them on casual days . I like interchanging the band straps of my watch. I'm sad that two Swarovski crystals are now missing from the cross. :(

Highlights of Fall

I have always been intrigued by Fall season. My mom said that the distinctive features of Fall is the crisp air and the beautiful color changes in leaves. I find it amazing how the normally green leaves on trees turn various shades of red, orange and yellow. I have seen many beautiful photos of this magnificent autumn leaves.

Fall is a perfect time for many fun activities. One of them is going apple picking. My cousins enjoy apple picking. They love doing this activity just as the air gets crisp. I would love to experience this someday. I could imagine my hubby making apple pies using freshly picked apples.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving Day but I like the thought behind this special occasion. I love seeing all kinds of Thanksgiving Day decorations online. I could tell how important this special day is to many people because of the amount of effort they do to make it very memorable.

Another thing I would love to experience is visiting a Pumpkin Patch. I'm sure my son would love to go to one.

Fashionable Maternity Dresses

I was talking to my best friend earlier and I'm glad that her pregnancy is doing well. She's expecting her first child and I'm very excited for her. Welcoming a new baby in the family is really a blessing. There are a lot of preparations to do, particularly shopping for the baby's needs.

A mother on way also needs a lot of things for herself to make pregnancy more comfortable. My best friend is on her first trimester and she said that most of her regular clothes don't fit well anymore. She's not comfortable wearing her old clothes and she plans to go shopping for Maternity Dresses soon. There are so many lovely maternity clothes today. I admire how stylish many clothes for pregnant women have become. More effort are now put to make maternity clothes look more fashionable. Imagine Juicy Couture Maternity for fashion conscious moms to be. I think pregnant women should still look lovely and trendy in their condition.

I remember when I was pregnant; my husband was nice enough to take me shopping for Maternity Clothes. I had a favorite maternity shop that sold lovely maternity dresses, blouses, undergarments, pants, jeans, shoes and even accessories. The store even had mother and daughter ensembles.

What things do you consider when buying shoes?

The first thing I normally consider is comfort. I always want to wear shoes that are comfortable. I also take into consideration style. Of course, price is another factor. I love shoes but it doesn't have to be expensive. If I see something nice but it's too pricey, then I won't buy it. If there is a special event then I make sure the shoes fit the occasion.

For casual wear, I often wear flip flops but I also buy flat shoes like this one. It's a malindi silver Crocs.

Lovely and Chic Baby Clothes

I can imagine how wonderful it is to have a daughter. I'm happy with my son but I can't help but adore little girls. When I go shopping for my son's clothes, I sometimes get distracted and find myself taking a detour at the girls clothes section. I just love seeing those cute and lovely dresses and accessories. I don't feel deprived since I don't have a daughter because I have several god daughters who are very close to me.

I also enjoy browsing for children's clothes online. There are many beautiful designs online that you won't find in stores. I like the lovely Baby Clothes at Jolo Designs. I browsed through its baby clothes collection and I really admire the unique and chic designs. Among my favorites were the 2 pc Pink and Brown French Baby Outfit and Pink; Designer Chocolate and Turquoise Floral and Polka Dot Dress; Pink, Green Smocked Designer Print Dress and Chocolate and Brown French Toile Baby Dress. I love the colors, patterns and designs used. I could imagine my cute little god daughters wearing those amazing ensembles. I'm positive my friends and relatives who have young daughters will love this site too. There are so many wonderful designs to choose from.

Do You Have a Favorite Pair of Pants?

I just love wearing jeans. I like jeans because I can wear any shirt with it. Even a lovely blouse can go well with jeans. I feel most comfortable when I’m wearing jeans. I always prefer casual clothing because I can just be myself without worries. Unlike when I’m in formal clothes, I feel a little conscious and my actions quite restricted. How I wish jeans are always acceptable in all occasions.

I have a favorite pair of denim jeans that I’ve had for a few years. It’s very simple but I love its fit and classy straight cut. I always buy new jeans but I never thought of giving away my favorite old pair of jeans. I’ve had it for quite some time and it has “witnessed” many wonderful moments in my life. Call me sentimental but I just love that pair of jeans too much to give it up.

A New Accessory

I would like to thank my SIL, Chona for this lovely bracelet. It's a thoughtful gesture that I'm grateful for. It will be a nice addition to my collection of accessories.

HEADS - Any word that starts with the letter C

1. Chocolate Cake - My hubby's first try in baking a chocolate cake. It was a small and simple three layered cake. Everyone in the house loved it.
   
   
2. Cones - Enjoying our favorite ice-cream on cones. Fruits In Cream (FIC) Mangoes 'n Cream and Mint Pistachio.
   
3. Crocs - Early last year our favorite footwear was Crocs. Sadly, fake Crocs and replicas are now available in the market.
   
   
4. Chapel - This is St. Marc's Chapel in Los Banos Laguna, Philippines. A lovely chapel without walls surrounded by a beautiful garden. It's perfect for meditation and contemplation. It is also famous for garden weddings.
   
   
5. Caramel Apples - A sweet discovery last year.
   
   
   
6. Crabs - My hubby and I are fond of eating crabs. This is our favorite Schezhuan Crab at The Red Crab.

Lavender and Then Some

I finally got my own Crocs last Saturday. I was thinking of buying the army green or black mary janes but Jules suggested I choose a more lively color. I didn't realize how hard it was to choose just one color. I got confused when I saw all the lovely colors on display.

I remember Connie fondly suggesting I choose a fun color like purple. She's right, I have too many black shoes anyway so why not try something bright and cheerful for a change.

I finally settled on lavender, one of my favorite colors. I tried the beach Crocs and found it more comfortable than the maryjanes so here it is ...

I love my jibbitz ... a sunflower, butterfly, Aries zodiac sign and a pink Crocs seal.

Now the gang is complete...

Dad and Son in Fashion

Continuation of A Day of Pampering ...

Jules and I went to Piazza Serendra last Wednesday. It was our first time there. Serendra is now the latest place to go for fine dining and some shopping on the side. Too bad I forgot to bring my camera so I wasn't able to take photos of this new and interesting place. I'll make a mental note not to forget the camera on our next visit.

We went there to check out the main store of Crocs™. We regret having dinner already before going there. There were so many nice restaurants that we were almost tempted to eat dinner twice. :) Oh well, we can always go back another time.

I wanted to buy a pair of Crocs™ maryjanes but the store didn't have my size. I was told they ran out and waiting for a fresh delivery within the week. Just my luck!

But we didn't go home empty handed. I decided to buy Jules a pair of this comfortable footware. I wanted to buy him the black one with red straps but he wanted the exact color of Yohan's beach Crocs™ (which he got last December 2006).

See those cute little things? They are called jibbitz. Aren't they cute?

I just love these cute accessories and bought my boys several of them. For Jules, I got Scorpio zodiac sign and Crocs™ seal. For Yohan I got Lightning McQueen, Cancer zodiac, Nemo and a letter Y.

I hope to buy my own on our next visit to Serendra. I prefer the black or army green Crocs™ maryjanes.

Yohan's Crocs

Yohan's Lola Dol gave this fashionable pair of Crocs to Yohan. It's still a little big but knowing how fast Yohan grows, it will surely fit perfectly in a few months time.

Crocs is quite popular in the Philippines because of its legendary comfort. It's really soft, comfortable and molds to your feet. It is vented so air passes through, keeping feet cool. Best of all, it has non-marking slip-resistant soles

Yohan is already enjoying his Crocs. He loves wearing them in the house. He hasn't worn them outside yet since it's still a little big.

He also has a pair of Havaianas but I noticed that it tends to be uncomfortable for him after prolonged hours of wearing it. I love mine though.

I haven't heard him complain about his Crocs. I think I found the perfect sandals for Yohan.

My Topless Sandals Are Here!

My Topless Sandals finally arrived! Jules uncle who is a pilot, bought it in Japan for me. I was supposed to pay him but to my delight, he gave it to me as a gift. He didn't accept my payment because he said it was his advance Christmas gift for me. How thoughtful!



I love my topless sandals. I haven't seen anyone wearing it yet so I'll probably be among the first few to have a pair here. It's eye catching because it doesn't have straps. It has special adhesive that sticks to your feet. I'm sure people will wonder how you can wear it without falling off. The sandals come with one toe thong. It is like a foot jewelry. Toe thongs come in different colorful beads and it is elastic so that it stretches to fit most feet.

Now I need to have a nice pedicure to show off my new sandals.
