Source of Fun Online Quizzes

I enjoy doing online quizzes because they are fun, entertaining and easy to do. It's fun to post quiz results on your blog and compare yours with the results of your blog friends.

I’m a member of Quibblo, a good source of online quizzes, surveys and polls. The site now features special pages where you can find the most popular quiz topics.

You can choose from a variety of interesting topics. If you are fond of anime, try the Naruto quizzes. Quibblo even has a discussion forum where you can discuss your favorite ones.

Advertising is a Powerful Tool

Advertising is a powerful tool in today's modern world. Advertising helps build customer awareness and interest. As a customer, I believe in the influence of advertising because a good strategy can boost sales of a product or service.

All over the world, small and large companies give high importance to advertising. Many large companies launch different kinds of advertising to promote goods and services to its target market. The impact of advertising is very evident during launching of new products. Companies invest large amounts of money to come up with combination of advertising such as radio, TV, print and billboard. In the recent years, online advertising has become another popular advertising tool.

Radio advertising is one of the popular forms of advertising. I remember being captivated by many radio commercials especially those with catchy jingles. Here are some examples of radio advertising costs in UK. The link offers several UK and Ireland Radio station advertising. Radio commercials are generally cheaper compared to TV commercials but still achieve a good degree of awareness and interest among target customers.

Heads or Tails: TEN THINGS of your choice

TEN THINGS I wanted at some point in life or still want but just waiting for the right opportunity.

1. Cabbage Patch Kid - It became very popular in the 80s. I was in grade school and I wanted one. It wasn't available in the Philippines at that time so my parents weren't able to buy me a CPK.

2. Barbie Ken doll - I had several Barbie dolls and I wanted a Ken but never had one.

3. Iguana - Would you believe I wanted one as a pet? What was I thinking?

4. Pug - I find pugs so adorable. I wanted to get one but a pug is very expensive. I don't mind not having one because I'm happy with my dog Bruno, a black Labrador.

5. Cartier Love Bracelet - When I was in college, this bracelet became quite popular. Every bracelet came with "a tiny screwdriver to bolt it onto the wrist, signifying a committed relationship."

6. Return to Tiffany heart tag charm bracelet - It was sold out early. I checked the website and they still carry it. I still want one.

7. Trip to Disneyland - Now that there's one in Hong Kong, it's easier to plan about it. The problem is Yohan's fear of mascots. I have no idea when it started but he doesn't like seeing Mascots. Hope he outgrows this fear.

8. LV Pink Papillion - I was obsessed with it for a while. Now, I would rather have an LV Monogram.

9. LCD Monitor - Maybe Santa got my letter and give me one this Christmas.... maybe.

10. My Own Domain - I would really love one! Please help me win my own personal domain by clicking on my friend's site and leaving a short message there. The blogger who can convince the most number of readers to visit her blog wins free domain registration with hosting for 5 years on a Linux server.

Growing a "Pet" - Part II

Here are more photos of the lovable chicks, Henny and Chickee who we (Yohan and I) have taken cared of since they were just eggs. Look at them know.

a continuation ...

DAy 4 (am) - They have outgrown their growing space.

Yohan transferred them into their individual cups where they could continue growing. Notice the funny writing I placed on his shirt? :)

He filled the cups with water and gave them time to develop some more.

Day 5 (am) - We were amazed that Henny and Chickee have expanded and grown taller. We just left them there until the following day.

DAy 6 (am) - They were ready to get out of the water to face the world. Please welcome our Chickee and Henny. I placed a marker to give you an idea how tall they have grown.

It was a fun experience for us and hope you enjoyed it too. It also taught my son the importance of patience.

You can chase a butterfly all over the field and never catch it. But if you sit quietly in the grass it will come and sit on your shoulder. ~ anonymous

Boosting Sales with Shopping Cart Software

My friend started making jewelry as a hobby a few years ago. She would buy all sorts of beads, charms, semi-precious stones, crystals, etc. At first the pieces she made were for personal use. Her creations are beautiful and many people admire her talent in customizing personal jewelry. When my friend received many favorable comments and inquiries about her custom made jewelry, she decided to make her hobby a business. She started accepting small quantity orders.

She now has several people working for her in making her jewelry. She consigns her pieces to large department stores and often take part in bazaars. Inspired by her good sales, she is contemplating of selling her jewelry on-line but she does not know where to start.

Ashap Commerce can help her set up an efficient shopping cart software to facilitate her on-line store. In this modern time, an ecommerce software can help boost her product sales. My friend is very excited about this promising and exciting business development. She hopes it will help make her jewelry well known in other countries.

Secure Behind the Wheel

My brother takes good care of his car and considers it as one of his valuable assets. He bought his first car, a Honda CiviC ESi, when he was in college. It was a second hand car but he was very proud of it because he used his savings to purchase it. When he started working, he saved his money to buy a brand new car. He sold that car in favor of a new one after a few years. This is his current car, an Eclipse sport coupe. The first time he sent me a photo of his car, I told him that the bright Sunset Orange paint suits his fun and jovial personality.

My brother has a carefree attitude in life but he always takes security and safety precautions seriously. When he found out that I was late in renewing our car insurance, he reiterated the risks of having an expired one. He convinced me that having a reliable car insurance will secure me, as well as other parties from damages and physical injuries brought about by accidents. Safety should always be the number 1 priority.

Is you car insured? Find the auto insurance rate applicable to you. You may also get a car insurance quote to determine the appropriate cost of keeping yourself and your loved ones secure behind the wheel.
