Photo Hunt :: Red

PSHunt
Come and join the hunt here.

Sometimes I long to be as carefree as a child. Without worries and problems to weigh you down. Just thinking of what to play, activity to do or what to watch on TV. Life seems so simple, so uncomplicated, so happy when you are a child.

Photo above was taken earlier this afternoon when Yohan and I enjoyed a nice walk around the village. It's been cold and windy throughout the day, so let him wear a red sweater and matching red pants when we went out. We also visited one of my hubby's grandmothers who lives in the same village. She was delighted to see Yohan and gave him some oranges to bring home.

I like this time of the year. I like the cold breeze in the air. Imagine, we haven't opened the aircon nor the electric fan the whole day. We certainly saved on electricity today. :)

** To my friends, sorry I'm behind my visits. I've been a little busy but I hope to catch up with all of you on the days to come. **

Aloha Friday #9

Rules: Post any question on your blog on a Friday, share your answer and sign Kailani's Mr. Linky. Then have fun answering the questions of fellow participants by visiting their blogs.

Inspired by the movie Enchanted (check out earlier post), what is your favorite Disney movie?

I love many Disney movies but when it comes to animated films, my favorite is Toy Story. I never get tired of watching it. It is also one of my son's all time favorites. I love the cool tandem of Woody and Buzz Lightyear.

We Were Enchanted

** Before anything else, I shared some ways to relieve stress on My Thursday Thirteen #3.

Jules, Yohan and I watched Enchanted last Wednesday. We all enjoyed the movie because it was made for all ages. I was fascinated by how how great the animation blended with the real actors. It was very entertaining and we had our share of good laughs in between scenes. I like leaving the movie theater feeling lighthearted.

A classic Disney fairytale collides with modern-day New York City in a story about a fairytale princess from the past who is thrust into present-day by an evil queen. ~ source

Enchanted is a well blended movie ~ there's adventure, romance, comedy, music, animation and spice of nostalgia. If you haven't seen it yet, I strongly recommend it.

If only real life can always have a happy ending ...

Some Points to Consider in Purchasing a Car

Buying a car is something that needs to be given thorough thinking. Purchasing a car is an investment and before putting your money into something, it is advisable to think about it first. Avoid making impulsive purchases because you might just realize at the end that you’ve wasted your hard earned money.

The first thing to consider is most probably your budget. Determine how much money you are willing to spend to purchase a car. Work on that budget. If you have limited budget, you can buy used car. Insurance is also cheaper for used cars.

Another option is car finance. Instead of investing all your money in a car right away, you can choose car financing. You can pay part of the amount of the car and invest the rest of the money elsewhere. This is a good idea for business inclined individuals who are thinking of using part of the money to generate more income.

If you have the right budget, then it is best to purchase a brand new one. New cars are guaranteed to be at its best working condition. A brand new vehicle ensures you that its engine is working well and there are no hidden problems compared to used cars.

Ferrari Craze

My husband is an avid fan of Formula One Racing. Rarely does he fail to watch F1 races on TV. He is a fan of Michael Schumacher and Kimi Räikkönen. He is a great follower of the Ferrari team. Just recently, he was excited to tell me about the current promotional offer of Shell.

In celebration of this year’s Formula One Championship and to cap off its 60th-year anniversary celebration with Ferrari, Pilipinas Shell recently launched its unique premium promotion allowing loyal Shell motorists to own their very own Ferrari model car! - source

This promo started last November 1 and will end on Dec. 30. With every P500 worth of Shell V-Power or Shell Helix Ultra products a customer may avail one Ferrari for as low as 49. So far, we only have three Ferrari cars. Three more and we'll have a complete set.

A few nights ago, my hubby and my son were watching Discovery Channel and it featured the Ferrari factory in Italy. I was amazed at how Yohan seemed so interested and fascinated on the program.

It was a coincidence that we saw a Ferrari Spider (same as left most car model above) at the car showroom on the way to school. Yohan was so upset when we couldn't make a stop over. Funny because he wanted us to go down and drive the Ferrari. :)

Assistance in Making a Dissertaion

I believe that furthering one's education is a great privilege in life. I enrolled in graduate studies a few years ago. I enrolled in MBA in the same university where I graduated in college. I finished all my major subjects in MBA but I took an indefinite leave after I got pregnant. I still have to take up two electives and submit my essay thesis to get my MBA degree.

I found out that one can get valuable help online in doing one’s thesis through the help of dissertation writers. Everything seems so easy nowadays because you can already buy a custom thesis.

Weekend Snapshot #6

To join this weekly meme, click here

It's been a long weekend because classes were suspended for two days due to the announcement of storm signal #1 in our area. We took advantage of the time by putting out all the Christmas decors.

First thing we did was put up the tree. In the picture, you could see Yohan helping out put the ornaments. We're not yet finished putting all the decors. There's more to do.

For today, no more storm signal so it's back to school for Yohan and it's back to the gym for me.

Tree of Hope for Bantay Bata

Christmas Tree of Hope was recently launched in different SM malls in the country. The goal of this project is to raise funds for the benefit of Bantay Bata 163. For every P100 donation, the donor will be given a Christmas tree decor which you can hang on the Tree of Hope. Donors may write their Christmas wishes on the tags/decors.
Bantay Bata 163 is a child welfare program of ABS-CBN Foundation that not only rescues and rehabilitates sick and abused children, but also provides shelter, therapy and quality home care for rescued children until they can be reunited with their families or referred to proper child-caring agencies. ~ Bantay Bata website

To my fellow Filipinos and everyone residing in the Philippines, hope you can support this project to help the poor children in our country. If you see a Tree of Hope in a mall near you, please stop to share some blessings. God bless.

Meeting Friends Online

I was already in college when I started enjoying the Internet. At first, I used it merely for research purposes to augment data from library references. I didn't have a computer at home and would just go to the library to use one of the computers.

I became a more frequent user of the Internet when I started working. It’s where I met a colleague who loves to chat and play online games after office hours. He told me that he enjoys visiting chat rooms and meeting new friends. At first I was skeptical that one could meet a good friend through chatting but I was wrong. My colleague told me of the interesting friendships he formed online.

I realized that friendships can really take place online after experiencing it myself. When I started blogging, I met lots of wonderful people. In fact, I had the privilege of meeting some in person. Aside from leaving comments on their blogs, I also chat with some blog friends from time to time. Blogging has become one of my hobbies and I take delight at visiting blog friends and learning more about them on every visit. Blogging can be quite rewarding because of the friendships you form all around the world.

My Lil' Car Racer

Remember the racing costume we came up with for Yohan's activity in school? Yohan was able to use it again at the birthday party of his schoolmates (joint celebration of N & D). The theme of the party was racing and the parents requested guests to come in racing attire if possible. Good thing we didn't have to buy anymore because we used the one we had specially made for the Race Into Reading school activity.

Jules and I decided to complete the costume by having some patches made. Look at how the plain car racer costume turned out. Yohan loved it!

Photo edited to include the picture of the Honda car at the back. :)

Feel Secured

I believe that having a good insurance is very important. Home insurance should be one of the priorities of every family. Remember that in making any purchase, it is always wise to compare the products or services before making a final decision. You can apply the same concept in availing of insurance.

Car insurance is the next thing that should be greatly considered. Look for a dependable and at the same time cheap car insurance in the market that will suit your requirements.

Make the family feel safe and secured with good insurance. Always be wise in choosing an insurance in order to make sure that you are covered well when the need arises.

This picture was taken several weeks ago at the birthday party of my friend's son, Ino. He turned two years old and his parents gave him a wonderful party. Ino also happens to be my godchild (inaanak).

It was a fabulous children's party. I love the cool line up of games and programs. The high light of that party was the performance of the unicyclist. In the photo, you could see him on his unicycle and at the same time performing a cool balancing act using those hot props. It was a great performance! My son, Yohan was delighted when he brought home all these hot prizes and giveaways.
