These are snails or locally known as golden kuhol. Hubby bought some at the market for his culinary class.
Below is the final product - Escargot (just one of the dishes hubby and classmates made for their French Cuisine theme).
Wow, he's taking classes. I suddenly miss guinataang kuhol.
ReplyDeleteI tried escargo in a French restaurant before. Now looking at the pictures again, I wonder where I got the nerves to try escargo?! :O *gulp*
ReplyDeletetried it once. sa el comedor nga ba yun? tagal na nun pati taste nakalimutan ko na :D. now that wits mentioned it, oo nga, bigla ko rin tuloy naalala ang guinataang kuhol or kahit na suso.
ReplyDeleteOh wits beat me to it. Me too I miss ginataang kuhol. I only get to eat them at those delectable buffets at restaurants like Cabalen and Kamay Kainan. Yummy talaga. :)

I like eating kuhol,especially kapag ginataan, tagal ko na rin hindi nakatikim niyan. :)

i have a friend, who´s living in france, sabi nya masarap daw ito.
with butter pa, sabi nya n bake it....
pero, sorry to say, kahit anong loto or gawain, kahit masarap tingnan, ewan....
kain na lang ako ng bagoong....sorry po.....lo
kasi maala-ala ko ang snail kasi sa amin, kahit dito......
ay oo nga, pag may time ka, pls visit my blog, meron akong ganito, kasing pareha na pics, got it last tuesday, sa field..........
sarap nga tingnan ang pics, ano?....masarap din ang recipe.
someday, subukan ko ito.....yon galing france talaga...
